Wife unit & I are receiving an after Christmas present late today. We're picking up 2 of our grandchildren ( ages 2 & 6) in Tucson & they are coming to stay with us for a few days.
Son & daughter in law just closed on their first house & are packing/moving some things so we're helping by keeping the children from under foot.

Yay!
Is this the first time that you get to have your grandchildren for an extended stay? I think it's wonderful and I hope you all have a fun time together!

Third or fourth time. They usually stay 3-5 days. They seem very comfortable here and away from their parents. Lotsa fun, but tiring.

My In-laws will be getting a similar late Christmas present when we finally head back to Florida after they have had the little boilers and Mrs. Boiler hanging around since December 5.
Glad to hear that the grandkids like being with you. It is nice when the kids can be dropped off somewhere so the parents can get things done.
