Today's case:
a first grade boy threw his stocking cap against the building. The building, being made of brick, promptly took a firm and solid grip of the stocking hat, so it was stuck up there...15 feet off the ground.
My mission:
get stocking hat down, and return it to it's owner.
Results:
Success!
I borrowed a football from another first grader, and proceded to throw it at the hat repeatedly until I finally knocked it down. It took repeated attempts...as the wall was determined it wasn't going to let go.
(I also missed a few times)

My first thought would have been to throw the kid 15 feet up the wall to get it himself.
