Has hit the workplace last week. Most sites on everyone's favorites are blocked now. I don't know if it's because I wasn't here last week or cause I don't have this site on my favorites, that I can still access it.

You Suck at UBB

I took it out of my favorites as well, somewhere during my paranoia-i'm-gonna-follow-internet-policy-phase. that lasted a while.

They are probably using a program called Websense. It filters a lot of stuff. Luckily our company doesn't use it.

Ooh, we have Web(non)sense where I work. We always use the "go ahead anyway" feature. For us, I think the issue is more when than where (aside from porn, I'm sure -- haven't tried it.)

Akern, sorry to hear about it...was it a filtering service or just the company selectively blocking oft-used domains?

If you have a networked machine on NT or XP virtually EVERYTHING you do can be monitored. No joke. All you need are administrator priveleges set up correctly and you can pull anything and everything off of a hard drive or view internet sites visited.

Yes and because Microsoft is going to cease supporting NT, if you work for a larger company (like mine) chances are you will be going to XP, which is pretty much like lockdown. You can't even have wallpaper! Sad
