Posted: 06/05/05 - 09:12 Post subject: A RR meeting. It's so good, it's moving. :)
Saturday: Get up at 4:45am but don't actually get out of the house until 6:45am (45 minutes later then I planned). Take off west with my truck, trailer, and two bags of sand on the trailer as weight.
I pull into a gas station after about 1hr 20mins on the road. Find out I now have 1.75 bags of sand. One had slid over against the wheel and had a huge hole in it. Oh well. Truck on!
Get there about 9:00 expecting her to be moving with her friends that were going to come over. Turns out, no friends. Just me, her, and her kids. We moved mattresses and then her dad showed up. For the next 8 or 9 hrs it was the thrill of moving things down from the second floor, loading them in the jeep, her dad's truck, and my trailer and then hauling them to her new place. I think we made 5 trips overall. She still has one or two trips left that she was doing today.
A few of the times, a couple of her kids rode with me in my truck. We talked about ice cream shakes and malts (I got it right this time), favorite sides from KFC, and evil villians. I'm sticking to what I said. Shredder was the scariest evil villian ever!
After all was moved in, Jake and I did some sword fighting. Only it was with rolls of wrapping paper. And he was the only one with the wrapping paper. If we are all really nice to Brie, maybe she'll post the picture of that happening.
We did get a group photo; however, my camera is in the truck and I don't know where the cable is right now to transfer the picture. So, in the mean time, you'll just have to suffice with this:
Overall it was a blast. I enjoyed meeting Brie and her family. I also got to learn some things.

If I forgot to say it before, I will say it now: Thanks SO MUCH, Justin!!!
We were so lucky to have Justin's help on Saturday. Had it been just my father and I, I think we'd still be hauling stuff over. Justin was such a huge help, and great entertainment to the children. Will said that Justin is the "greatest guy I've ever met, Mom." For reals. Imagine if he'd have shared his candy!
I hate moving, but it was less awful with Justin and Dad helping (read: doing all the work).
Thanks again. Oh, and I will try to bring pics in tomorrow (no dsl as of yet... hell, no phone for that matter!)

Consider yourself lucky for not owning a truck.
