Posted: 10/23/04 - 08:43 Post subject: A Quizno's virgin finally gives it up...
Dude, this stuff is even better than....OK, well maybe not better than but it's SOOOOOOO GOOD!
Imagine my disappointment yesterday when I came back from lunch with my new discovery and found that once again, Shelfie had peed on the server. I thought those electroshock treatments broke him of that? UP THE VOLTAGE!
After spending the better part of lunch yesterday trying on and purchasing shoes, I remembered there was a Quiznos on the way back from work and finally gave in. (Truth be told I've been meaning to get there and have been too busy to go out for lunch!) Besieged by all manner of tasty options, it was a dead heat between the Elkid-tested, highly recommended Mesquite Chicken with Bacon or the Medic's Choice Angus Steak Sandwich. The chicken won by a nose. Sans red onions since I had a candidate to interview after lunch. What a tasty delight! I had to bring my boss back a cookie, we've had a rough week, so I got smart and got two different ones for us both to try. on the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip but much to my disappointment, it was on the peanut butter. Flat, kinda lifeless, and not much peanutty goodness. Mine are way better so I am making some this weekend. AND there's one on the way to school too--no more being lazy and hitting a drive thru craporama. I'll get OUT of the car to get my crap. I know it's probably only slightly healthier than fast food but at least they use real identifiable meats.
....and they really DO have a pepper bar! I thought those little freaky dudes were kidding.....
Genie = Quiznos convert for life! Sayonara, Subway......

I liked Subway until I tried Quiznos. I liked the baked roll, and the fact that Quiznos puts more stuff on the hoagie, Subway seems a little stingy with there meats

quiznos is icky.
they burn the rolls and there's always some kind of creamy sauce they put on their sandwiches. the steak sandwich is drowning in something that resembles melted cheese. not sure what that was.
i still like subway genie.
maybe it's just our quiznos.

I had a feeling that was you! I think Cappy's right, Subway is very stingy with their meats and I don't mind melted cheese on my steak sandwiches really. You forget, I live near Philly

Melted Cheese is the only way to have a cheese steak.

I treat myself to a Quizno's about as often as I treat myself to a Starbucks (once every quarter...maybe).
