they burn the rolls and there's always some kind of creamy sauce they put on their sandwiches. the steak sandwich is drowning in something that resembles melted cheese. not sure what that was.
i still like subway genie.
maybe it's just our quiznos. |
Preach it "team 1" I hate quiznos

I've ordered three different sandwiches in there and they held the sauce (pre-oven) at my request all three times. Why wouldn't they honor your request?

Its not just the sauce, its the oregano on everything, the "well-doneness" of every sandwich, and most especially how friggin expensive everything is. I'll take Subway or Panera, thanks.

Sometimes the workers don't always understand/comply. Its also not the culinary institute
Panera is a chain, and its wonderful. More along the Quizno's pricing but about a million times better tasting.

Cheryl - You must have language barriers galore in Houston. I go into a Subway - They make a sandwich, directly in front of me, with what I want on it. I go into a Quizino's - They make a sandwich, directly in front of me, with what I want on it. (If they don't comply, they can do it again.) Neither business will be confused with a top culinary institute, but it gets the job done.
Do you guys have Atlanta or St. Louis Bread Company over there in Texas? I think they are similar to Panera. Good stuff there, but still a little on the high side.

i ordered that philly cheese steak once, swimming in whatever that was, for my son. next time of course i asked for them to hold the "GALLON O SAUCE" and they did, but then it was like burnt toast with a few scraps of mystery meat on it. now it's too dry. like sand. dust.
it may just be our franchise here.
Panera breads is opening soon here. what a great place for lunch!! i love panera bread and can't believe they're coming soon to Marlboro country!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

You know shocking I'm sure but we do actually! I have only ever been to one quiznos, so I can only speak for what they do, and although we speak the same language, you can't see over that oven thing to see what they are doing to your sandwich. Subway on the other hand, you walk them through the steps. Even at my Spanish only Subway, I can communicate "a couple jalepenos, no oil and vinegar" or whatever...I just think Quiznos does'nt expect the special requests. AND the one I've been to is a really really bad one that about every 4 months has a sign that says "Now serving you better with new management" So I'm biased. But I still don't like it, not in a box, not with a fox.

We had Atlanta Bread in Kentucky--Sooooo good. maybe even better than Panera. A little high depending on what you order, but worth it to me. Good food there. yum.

we used to have a st louis bread co here. it was pretty tastey. then it magically morphed into a panera (its in a mall). panera is my fave sammich place around. it kicks atlanta bread co's behind any day of the week.
not to mention that the iq level of the panera employees appears to quadruple that of the atl bread co. at least from my experience anyway.

And yet you frequently frequent Starbucks? You don't get more overpriced than that.
Yeah, they're a little pricey, but 1) cheaper than other takeout 2) much healthier than other takeout though salty (which for me is not a problem) 3) good quality stuff in there. And yes, if you ask them to hold the sauce they will. I am almost always "sauceless".
genie - their cookies are not the best. Stick with the lovely ooey gooey ones at Subway which rock the cashbah.
WE LOVE THE SUBS! THEY HAVE A PEPPER BAR!

I do like Panera, there's one by my house but nowhere else close that I know of....but personally I didn't think Subway was any cheaper if price is a big issue.
