in more than one place.... you know Chris was voted out...
| Quote: | | When I tried to vote for Chris, I kept getting "network failure" which has NEVER happened to me before. It would be sad for Chris to have gotten eliminated due to him possibly having a failure on his voting line. I am NOT happy about this at all. |
Looks like A.I might have themselves a problem.

yeah, their show sucks..... | From Comcast.net, Nearly four years since its debut, "Idol" continues to rule the ratings. It has attracted 25 million to 33 million viewers each telecast this season.
I guess some people don't think so.

I'm not a big fan, either. Just can't get into it.

The departure of Chris guarantees puss (or wuss, if you prefer) music the rest of the way, and another winner without a lot of charisma. (for those of you who are saying now "But what about Taylor?" - the only guy who can get away with grey hair is typing this. And I bet he couldn't sing any Radiohead if his life depeneded on it. )

I've never seen this show, but it obviously
1) attracts a HUGE following
2) allows people a chance for a recording contract
Am I correct?
So what you are saying is, it is fixed, or due to a computer error, someone may have lost a chance to win? It is based on audience voting, no?
(Pardon me while I go back under my prime-time TV rock.)
If it is fixed, does that not invalidate the entire premise of the show?

It's not fixed, but the American public calls into phone lines to vote for their favorite singer. THe one with the lowest number of votes (calls), gets voted off.
If Chris's line didn't work, or if Cingular was down, the voting is wrong.
It's an absolute total shock Chris got voted out.

What amazes me is how people care more for the contestant in a game show, than perceived or real voting irregularities in our presidential elections.

I don't necessarily think it's fixed, but they most likely had an issue with the phones.... and didn't bother to fix them...
BTW... Chris got an offer 2 hours after he got voted off to be the new frontman for FUEL.

See, that's what I don't get about folks. Chris didn't get "voted off". You don't call up to vote for the person you want to leave the show, you call and vote for the person you want to stay. Well, what if folks all had Chris as their #2 person and only voted for their number 1? Folks could all like Chris more than two people but he didn't get enough votes and had to leave. It's not exactly getting voted off and that's why there have been surprises in previous seasons because people probably think their "Idol" is safe and vote for someone else.

Chris has been the best singer in many seasons. I really think the voting is rigged a slight bit because the "results" are never shown. I just think they did not want an all white male final three. Chris will make more money and sell more records than all the final three combined.
