Posted: 12/10/03 - 09:36 Post subject: A Clement C. Moore tribute on staying positive.
Twas the tenth of December, nine degrees out today
And lucky for me that I had triple A
My pretty new Neon, sputtered and coughed
But nothing could get my poor girl to fire off
She went to the dealer, on the back of a truck
My foot stamped and I said one little “Oh, F*ck!”
My son in excitement, hopped right in the cab
And with the tow driver, proceeded to gab
While I sat and I stewed, the madder I got
And then I remembered, what was still on the lot!
The old car, with problems, is still mine, you see.
Still legal, still registered. Mine. Hee Hee Hee!
Though my pretty new car is not feeling too well
At least my whole workday has not gone to hell.
Dropped off the new, and picked up the beater.
Started her up and cranked up the heater.
Dropped the kid off at daycare, with minimum muss!
Just in time to for him to catch the school bus!
So in the crapbox that I learned to hate,
I made it to work at four minutes past eight.

Let's see...you got to work at 0804, composed, typed, and transmitted your poem at 0836...wow! Good work.
Kinda makes the rest of the day look unpromising after such a creative burst so early.

Well, if it is....and it was something that should been dealt with before I bought it...I'll just have you give them a buzz.

I don't know how you can be so creative when you're this mad.
I still would have been seeing red.

Okay, so that clinches it. It's not a case of novel, symphony, or masterpiece, it's more like novel, symphony, and masterpiece.
