Someone PLEASE remind me again WHY I went back to school? 
I just finished researching and writing a 16-page case analysis on an eating disordered patient, which consisted of a case conceptualization, basically setting the scene, giving the patient history, symptoms, etc, making a full 5-axis diagnosis, including other presenting diagnoses such as personality disorders, depression, etc.....and then proposing a treatment plan as if you were the attending therapist. INCLUDING supportive data that the modality you picked would work.....which meant researching articles that have already been written about that method of treatment. And of course my patient had complications from a physical illness so I had to include that as well. Yeesh.....I should have done it on Ally McBeal like one of the girls did, but no......I had to do a REAL patient! 
I have spent ALL weekend on this paper, other than the couple hours I went into work yesterday morning. I missed hanging out with my neighbors last night and a family party for which I am going hear a lot of crap about tomorrow, to get this all done. My brain is DEAD and I absolutely cannot type another character.
But the plus side is....THREE WEEKS OFF TIL FALL SEMESTER STARTS!! 
This really is all gonna be worth it someday, yes?

Congrats genie!  Hope your 3-week vacation goes well. Any holiday plans? Fall semester for me starts in about 5 week's time so I better make the most of my remaining holidays before I head back to school.

At least you got it done. Relax for the next 3 weeks and don't think about it for at least one week of that time. It sounds like your brain can use the break.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Don't lose sight of that, Genie! I know it sucks and is hard, but it's all worth it. Actually, your paper sounds really interesting. I had to write a paper about indexing and then index a 350 page book. Talk about boring. I thought I was losing my mind. LOL!
You hang in there and have some fun now that the big paper is turned in,

G, this is going to be tough, going to school and working, and it's going to require personal sacrifices. You are doing the right thing.

Thanks, everyone--you guys all rock! I feel much better this morning, slept like a rock last night after unwinding with a nice girly book and now I'm ready to take on some home projects over my break!!! YIPPEE!!!
Tim, no holiday plans, I'm going to Ireland in Oct so that'll be my big trip for the year. I can miss one week of school for that! 
You're all right....this is a hugely long road with a lot of sacrifices and trials along the way, but it really is all going to be worth it to leave the corporate world and do something useful with my life! Thanks for reminding me that.
