They actually had an unannounced fire drill in one of our buildings last week. About half the people in the building didn't even get off their butts to see what was going on. "I thought they were just testing the alarms" was the most common excuse. Idiots all of them.

didn't they used to do that in schools too? a surprise fire drill will happen tomorrow....tomorrow is spent  by all the kids, sitting and waiting and wondering when the big DINGER is gonna go off.....

I'll take $ 5.00 of that.
Safety aside: when that alarm goes off I just stand up and leave the building. If its false let them tell me, I'd rather not find out first hand if its real...Besides, who would NOT want a few minutes off ?
