on the Emmy's. I usually don't watch but I did tonight and it was better than an annual ob/gyn checkup.
1) um, please watch the best show on TV, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT on Fox Mondays at 8/7central before it gets cancelled because people lacking senses of humor are not watching (But for those with the humor gene, its teh hilarious!)
2) I love Ellen Degeneres!
3) Is it me or is it disrespectful to clap during the "in memoriam"? So Bob Denver was more important than others who died in the last year because more audience members saw Gilligan's Island?  Is a moment of silence during the listing of names too much to ask???
4) Is it me or is Desperate Housewives highly overrated? Or is being a married suburbanite mother really as depressing as they portray?  
5) Will you people PLEASE for the love of all that is peanut buttery watch Arrested Development?
5a) Conan O'Brien is one of the funniest people on the planet. As is Jon Stewart, Carson Kressly, Kathy Griffin, whoever writes for Arrested Development and again, Ellen Degeneres.
That is all. See you tomorrow night on Fox at 7 (8est), i'll be the one laughing so hard my side hurts.

I don't think it's overrated because as a non-television-watcher, I've seen a few episodes of it and thought it was pretty entertaining. I just think it's a bit different from most of the other stuff that's out there, hence it gets more recognition.

i did not watch the emmys so i can't comment on the show but
1. i will watch arrested development for the first time. i believe i'm missing something based on your endorsement 
2. i have always thought ellen to be the funniest person alive. i'm so glad she has been recognized. kathy griffin is funny in small doses.
3. i look at desperate housewives as a dark, STUPID, comedy that has hung on soley due to its T&A factor. T&A and stupid surreal plot lines (twin peakish almost). face it, we aren't sleeping with the lawnboy, we're twirling our hair gazing mindlessly at jerry springer while throwing lunchables at our 17 yo for dinner, that would be desperate
eva longorio is not desperate. in any way, shape or form. screw her! and they all do!! it simply won't be cancelled due to its T&A.

I didn't watch the Emmys because I really don't care, but Raymond is simply not very funny (though I will admit to catching part of an episode and chuckling).

I didn't watch the Emmy's but was hugely disappointed that Hugh Laurie did not win.
I like Arrested Development, but my husband does not...
But, since there is nothing else on Mondays at 7, maybe I can persuade him to watch it before football comes on.

I opted to watch Pearl Harbor while folding my clean clothes, rather than the emmy's.
I thought Desperate Housewives was pretty funny (the very first 5 episodes I watched), but I loved Twin Peaks and I'm not exactly the happiest married woman on earth.
