Now some of you know I work in the "hood" in Detroit. Well this morning an altercation happened in the back of plant 2. Get this 2 guys were arguing over a ash tray a freaking ash tray. Well the one guy was escorted out of the building and told to leave for the day. He left yelling, got to his car pulled a gun and fired 3 shots in the air and took off. Happend about 6:15 a.m. The cops just left here about 10 min ago!!! Don't know what will happen next but thank God I only have to go out into plant 1 to review some prototypes!!  
Ok I guess these 2 guys got into it on the way to work, they drive together, apparently one guy spilled his ash tray and he got mad, told him to get the "F'" out of the car, fired 2 shots in air as he pulled away. This was about 1 mile from work. Well the one guy ends up walking the rest of the way to work, the other guy waits for him at teh time clock, pulls the gun back out and points it at him. The other guy says lets take this outside, and he says no I am going to shoot you right here. (around 6 people were by the time clock when this happend) Things settled alittle and one of the supervisors calmed him down and escorted him out of the building. When he was by his car he yelled some obsenities and fired 3 shots in the air and took off. Police came, got all the info including his address and they were headed there. That is what we know right now. Still makes me nervous about what happend, I am really going to consider getting my CCW now.

ya know when I started working down here I thought about getting my CCW permit, then just kinda blew it off. Now I am thinking its a real good idea. Most of the sales and upper management carry some sort of gun.

I feel for you! I couldn't do it, I hated living so close as a kid. As will my remaining family that is still out there, I would have my CCW. I would also start looking for some cush job out in the 'burbs.
