(proud PaPa here)
coachette ran the half mile for the President's Physical Fitness Challenge this morning. She ran a 3:15. 
She's 8, and in 3rd grade.
(I had HS girls that couldn't beat that when I coached track)
She passed all 5 tests easily (she had to do 2 pullups, and did 11, for example)
I know I've bragged about her abilities before, but you must excuse me, the wife is out of town, and I've no one to talk to.

no friends...actually, the wrestling coach came over and watched football with me on monday. (he's new here too) So, a possible friendship is in the works.

I think the 11 pull-ups is just as if not more impressive. Very few people can do that.

 Esp considering girls typically don't have upper body strength. When I was in school they had us (let us?) girls do just the dead hang where you pull up and hold it, which is probably a lot easier than pullups themselves and I still couldn't hang long...
