Did anyone else catch this on Saturday? There was an intro hour in the afternoon and then a prime time hour of race coverage. With so little marathoning, road racing or triathlons on network tv, I just soaked it up.
BTW, it was a Canadian sweep. Peter Reid in mens division and Lori Bowden in the womens.

I Missed It!
I need Tivo!
Do you know if it'll be on again? Sometimes they will do that at a later date.

Doesn't look like it's scheduled again.

We'll if you are in Canada it will re-air (at least the race part) on Rogers Sportsnet nationwide in Canada December 28-noon-2003 Ironman World Championship.
I taped it
If you cover shipping, I can send you a copy.

Lori Bowden ROCKS!!! She is without a doubt my favorite female triathlete!!! I've seen several interviews with her and she's so cute and down to earth, not an arrogant bone in her body. Way to go Lori!!!

But seriously... the local NBC station kept doing local promos for this, saying it was live. Even though they are not the team's station in town, I attribute this error to their continued, in-depth reporting of the Bears' loss to Green Bay.

I missed it but usually tape it. I have the 98 99 and 2000 ones on the same tape. Love to watch them as motivation.
Especially the one with the father pushing the son.

watched it!!!! Kudos to Reid and Bowden. I think Badman would've held it had not been for getting sick...was anyone else in awe of how much she was throwing up!! I mean literally how could you run with that much fluid in you stomach. Reid vs DeBoom will be a great match next year!

soaked it all in, very enjoyable, do enjoy the human interest side, but really would love if they showed more of the sport of it. They are just like machines, those top folks, very inspirational, makes me think I better enjoy my last couple of weeks of being lazy before I start to get serious about training on 1/1/04!!
The guy in the wheelchair was just such a great inspirational story, if you think you have problems, they are nothing against what he has been through. Ahh that human spirit shining through again.
