This past weekend the old (I mean old) Class of 1983 had our 20th Class Reunion. Pebbs graduated from the same high school in 1982, but as her class is mostly in rehab, they didn't have a reunion, so she crashed mine. 
The Breakfast Club, Duran Duran and Def Leppard were all the rage again.
Friday Nite we went out to a local tavern for a pre-reunion get together. Pebbs was the Designated Driver for my one buddy and myself. This was a pretty relaxed get together. I thought it would be funny for a few of us to tell people we had insane careers and kept calling this one girl the wrong name all night. Can't get much more fun than that, except for the next morning when I remembered how much fun it was in college to drink way too much and then try to function for a day.
Saturday nite was the FORMAL reunion with a pretty big turnout (about 70-75% of the class). I choose to do the honorable thing and do the driving this night. Saw a great number of people I haven't talked to in 20 years--and then remembered why. 
We had a very nice dinner and the usual crazy awards along with a slide show, just to remind us how we were all skinny at one time.
The reception post dinner was a lot fun, Pebbs, my buddies wife and my buddy were very funny. We continued the vein of saying we had crazy jobs. A great number did not recognize Pebbs and didn't know we were married, so her running joke was that she crashed ours as she didn't have one last year.
One of the funnier things was when I was off talking to classmates, my buddy was walking about with Pebbs and his wife introducing them as
"this is my wife Anne----- and this is my girlfriend Kelly"-----ohhhhh the jocularity......
The hit of the evening (besides how Pebbs looked) had to have been

he was a guy from my class---hell of a nice guy in high school, but funny that a steel workers kid from Aliquippa, Pa is now a big up and coming Nashville Star.
Also the husband and wife DJ team reminded me of the Saturday Night Live skit with the singing couple who are junior high music teachers.......

Why do people show up fat fo their 20 year class reunion? It's not like they didn't have 20 years advance notice so they could drop some weight!

lot of people in my class lost dead weight--you wouldn't believe the number of divorcees
