Mistletoe Duathlon - 5K run / 11.6 mi. bike / 5K run
I did this race two years ago, but missed it last year. In fact, I don't think I've done a duathlon in almost a year.
Short version, first 5K in 20:58, one really steep off-road valley that was almost a walk to do down and not much faster getting up. It had rained yesterday, so it was really slippery.
in and out of T1.
11.6 mi. bike was jam packed. They started a triathlon at the same time as the run, but the triathletes only had to swim 600 yds. (meters), so they were out of the water way ahead of the people running a 5K. I passed quite a few people, including a police officer in his patrol car. Total bike time was 32:00 (or so).
in and out of T2.
2nd 5K was the first 5K in reverse. Passed a lot of triathletes . Again on the wet valley thing. Finished the 2nd 5K in 21:20 (or so).
Placed 4th 3rd (edited) in my AG.
here's my race report from last year that has almost the exact same splits.

Nice job my dualathon friend. Someday maybe I can find one down here to try. All the local races like this are tri's!
