Along the same lines of last years challenges/goals

  • A marathon a week (26.2 miles/week, 1362.40 miles for the year)

  • 2005 in 2005 (38.56 miles per week)

  • 1002.50 in 2005 (½ of 2005, 19.28 miles per week)

The mileage can include, swimming, cycling, etc (using the 1:4, and 4:1 calculations)

Choose one and post here. A couple of time throughout the year I will bump the thread and we can track progress.

Good luck

Cappy

I'll take another stab at 2005 in 2005.

Might as well make a biking goal too, let's go for 1000 miles.

2005 in 2005. This should be interesting since my previous high year was 04 at 1225.

I'm pretty sure 952 in 04 is my best. (Didn't keep a log before 04).

I will take 1002.50. I would like to try a thousand-year mile, and 20 a week is sort of my goal.

If I could avg. ~ 20 miles/week for the entire year, I would be happy. I just don't see that happening, especially for the early part of the year. Mad

So I'll shoot for 1002.5 in 2005. That would be running.

Cycling: LOL please, I'm not a cyclist, I just play one on the road to Austin....

You really should pick up the pace a little bit.

If all goes as I plan, I'll be up there with you Tim. But considering all the setbacks I had in 04, I figure I'll set a more attainable goal. Good luck! thumbs up

I'll aim for 501.25 miles in 2005 (1/4 of 2005)

Seeing as my PR was last year at 356mi, I consider that an OK goal.
