Running: 972.60
Cycling: 275.80
The first 6.5 months of the year were good for me. Had a number of PR's for courses in the area and both races that I won, including an age group win in our local 4th of July Fun Run.
March I had the highest number of mileage for calendar month 132. I had a 145 miles during the month long VRAA.
Second part of the year was not so good, plagued by mega overtraining then the back injury and the hip bursitis made for a lot of 0's in the log.
I have added cycling to the mix although I have suspended that until the late winter when it gets a little warmer.
Overall I think it was a good year. I am glad to be out running again, this time, I am a little bit smarter.

Running :: 1200 maybe. I accidentally deleted my log earlier in the year and I didn't have a back up. Far short of the goal of 2000 miles I set for myself but I had two injuries that really cut into that total.
Cycling :: 4500-5500 miles. Waaaaay over the goal of 2000 miles I set for myself when I got the bike in January. Again it's an estimate even though I have a cyclocomputer, I accidentally reset the mileage and then I switched cyclocomputers. This also includes trainer miles calculated @ 15 miles per 1 hr. spent on the trainer.
Swimming :: Not near enough that's for dang sure.

Running...1439 miles
Bicycling...960 miles
Rower...168km
With my 'bizzaro equivalent' conversions, I equate this to a 1785 mile running equivalent. So coming off the prior 3 years of being shades of 1500 mile equivs, '02 shaped up nicely. I'll shoot for an equiv in '03 of 2000.

I didn't start recording my runs until May '02.
525.1 miles - Avg. Pace: 8:57/mile
Seems a lot lower than I thought it would be... August really killed my year, I could have been almost 600.

Beginning runner here! I started running for the first time ever back at the end of January. I managed to acquire some injuries along the way, but this mileage would have been unthinkable just 1 year ago! 365.2 miles for me in 2002. that's the final count, no runs for me tomorrow thanks to a sinus infection. Hoping to start off with a good run on new year's day!

From my coolrunning log (which I really do like btw!)
YEAR TOTALS
Running: 1117.7 miles
Time: 6 days, 12h 03m 03s
Avg. Pace: 8:29/mile
Cycling: 34.6 miles
Time: 2h 02m 47s
Avg. Pace: 3:33/mile
Rowing: 32.1 miles
Time: 3h 04m 02s
Avg. Pace: 6:33/mile
I don't know how some of you guys and ladies put in all those miles while working and taking care of the home etc! I haven't quite decided how far I want to go for 2003. Maybe I can try and reach 1500.
This years PR's were:
Marathon in 3:48:10 (8:43/mile) on December 15, 2002 (1st time I raced this distance)
30 km in 2:38:09 (8:29/mile) on November 23, 2002 (1st time I raced this distance)
10.00 miles in 1:22:37 (8:16/mile) on February 10, 2002 (1st time I raced this distance)
15 km in 1:14:16 (7:58/mile) on March 9, 2002 (1st time I raced this distance)
10 km in 46:22 (7:28/mile) on November 9, 2002
5 miles in 39:41 (7:56/mile) on May 10, 2002
4.00 miles in 32:40 (8:10/mile) on August 9, 2002
5 km in 20:45 (6:41/mile) on December 7, 2002
1.00 mile in 6:10 (6:10/mile) on August 10, 2002
Wow I just realized that I set a lot of PR's this year! I hope I can keep that up in 2003.

i am not a mileage recorder - have no formal log but i know that i ran betwen 950 - 1000 miles last year, and that is probably a conservative estimate based on my tried and true weekly mileage addiction.

1470 miles...beat my total from 2001 by 230 miles....but I was on track for about 1700 miles earlier in the fall by I've basically taken the last 3 months off (Oct -- 54 miles, Nov -- 80 miles, Dec -- 27 miles)....but I'll be ramping up here slowly in January (120ish miles) and then see how my mind and body feel about training for the Mad City Marathon....
