I love that show. Mike Rowe is a great host. He is so versatile with his talents.

Let me tell you about a really dirty job:
Some years ago they closed up all the field latrines at Ft Drum NY. This was so the "stuff" in the latrines would dry up. The plan was they would then fill them in with soil and cap them. (For those of you unfamiliar with old Army Field Latrines they are basically a four or five holer shack, with a platform built over a concrete septic tank that is lacking a top.)
When the "stuff" was dried sufficiently, they hired some civilian contractors to go empty them prior to filling them in and closing them permanently.
The job was a two person job:
Person one went into the latrine pit, shoveled the "stuff" into plastic bags
and handed the full bags to person number two.
Person two put the bags in a truck.
Lesson learned:
Whenever I think my job is sucky, I think of that job...
