it very rarely gets above 100 here. Heck, most of the time it doesn't even get into the 90's.

Well, we are only technically in the low to mid 90's, but the heat index is 110 - 113F. That means - run down road to pool with raft or stay in bedroom as living room AC is not functioning well. No one, under penalty of death, cooks inside. ANd we flip coins to see whose turn it is to go outside and take the laundry out of the shed.

Our son says it's been in the 100-105 range out in Pueblo. Just in time... Mad

Tell that to the 18 dead in Phoenix from the heat.

David called yesterday and said that it was 108 in Pueblo - where we'll be next week. The UV index in 10. Guess I'll be packing the sunscreen.

Oh, and there were wildfires only about 20 miles from him last week. Shocked
We usually don't have wildfires in Chicago.

I t has been hot here, but today it's overcast and threatening rain. This has been a good summer for training, except I've missed a lot of bike rides due to wet roads.

why I like the Northeast in Summer...

Saturday High 83, Low 62
Sunday High 81, Low 68
Monday High 87, Low 69

Some parts of the Adirondacs might get down in the low 50's at night.

Before you say it: yes in January I'll be wishing for Noley's weather.
